Main Ideas of Eating Animals

1.
:Johnathan Safran explores the entire modern food industry.

: He illuminates the negative actions humans present on animals.

: J. Safran lists the health problems that the food industry causes for humans.

2.
Based on these ideas, I believe that the food industry has swayed public attention from these problems. Public attention should be focused on the negative actions humans present on animals and the health problems that the food industry causes.

3.
Many food corporations have no interest in the well-being of these animals. Foer states, "Approximately 30 percent of all live birds arriving at the slaughterhouse have freshly broken bones as a result of their Frankenstein genetics and rough treatment" (Foer, 132). These corporations are corrupted by their greed for money. No care is presented to these animals while they suffer until they are slaughtered.
